TurboLearn has dominated the AI note-taking space by running a huge network of TikTok accounts while simultaneously testing multiple content formats. The app peaked at top 10 in the iPhone Education category and consistently maintains a position in the top 100, with 100k+ monthly downloads and $100K+ MRR.

1. Classroom Capture + β€œHot Professor” Angle (Highest Performer)

Their most viral content focused on University classroom settings, with attention-grabbing hooks like "My Harvard professor literally freaked when he found this...". This would be followed by a screen recording showing app features. 

These videos frequently featured attractive "professors" giving a lecture  before going into the app’s features:

This same format was replicated with a few different professors and settings, and performed well across multiple accounts.

As is the case with most niches, I’m seeing a lot of other AI EdTech tools replicating this same formula for their own content. I even noticed a few of them using the exact same professor. Once you find what works, whether it's from your own content or a competitor’s, always work to replicate it.

2. Creator-Led Network

TurboLearn used an extensive network of creator-led accounts to push content, for example:
